The Osmo Action 6 features a new 1/1.1" square sensor, Starburst mode, a variable f/2 to f/4 aperture, and it now has 50GB of internal storage, and it is more cold resistant. It maintains its high-bright dual OLED screens, RockSteady and HorizonSteady stabilization systems, a 38MP sensor, a 4-hour battery life, and a waterproof camera body with a water pressure gauge. Updated Sensor with Wide Dynamic Range
The camera's new 1/1.1" square sensor to record up to UHD 4K120 video and capture experiences in dynamic, clear detail, even in low light.

 

A super-wide 155° FOV ensures all the action is in frame, and since the square sensor maintains fine detail, this facilitates custom framing.

The 10-bit D-Log M color mode provides over one billion colors and a wide 13.5-stop dynamic range for vivid footage.

Variable Aperture
The Osmo Action 6 is DJI's first action camera with a variable aperture of f/2 to f/4, breaking away from the traditional fixed‑aperture design. The aperture adjusts manually or automatically within each range to achieve clear and balanced results, from low-light night shots to detailed landscapes.

 

When it's paired with the optional macro lens, it can capture extreme close-ups with a shallow depth of field and a soft bokeh.

Starburst Mode
During night scenes, the new Starburst mode turns lights into starbursts, creating stunning imagery with drama and flair.
SuperNight Mode
With its larger sensor, larger aperture, and new noise reduction technology, the Osmo Action 6 features SuperNight mode that can capture clear, detailed video in challenging low-light conditions in up to 4K60 resolutions.
High-Res Photos
Press the shutter button for stunning still photos and crop easily. Each photo boasts approximately 2x the clarity of the previous generation with roughly 38MP (7168 x 5376) or 8K (16:9) resolution.

 

You can also convert 3-second videos into moving, dynamic photos.

Clear OLED Touchscreens
The Action 6 features a larger screen area and smaller bezels on its large 2.5" OLED back touchscreen with 800 cd/m² brightness. The 1.46" front OLED screen features 800 cd/m² brightness, is convenient for vlogging and framing selfies, and supports commonly used touch control functions.

 

No more turning the camera around for parameter adjustments, mode switching, or video playback. When the camera is switched between horizontal and vertical orientations, the user interface adapts accordingly. The touchscreens are also sensitive enough to be operated easily with wet hands.

Multiple Stabilization Modes
This smart stabilization feature helps eliminate camera shake in all directions and even horizontally corrects tilt at any angle in 2.7K60 video. That means footage can remain horizontally level, even through heavy bumps and 360° rotations. In addition, you can activate HorizonBalancing, which corrects the tilt horizontally within ±45° and supports recording stable 4K60 videos.
RockSteady 3.0 effectively reduces shakes while retaining the dynamic impact of motion, delivering a more immersive first-person perspective and supporting video recording up to 4K120.
Slo-Mo and Capture Options
Slow down those action shots with 32x Super Slow Motion. The Action 6's powerful 4nm chip enables frame-by-frame analysis and 4x frame interpolation for up to 32x slow motion. Shoot at 1080p240 and produce the video equivalent of 960 fps in post.

 

With the pre-recording feature, you can capture and retain exciting moments before the official recording starts.

The highlight feature allows you to quickly mark key moments to speed up the editing process.

Efficient Mounting and Design
The updated dual-direction quick release design of the Action 6 allows you to easily switch things up when needed. Detach and switch between different mounts and accessories, and quickly mount your camera in either direction.

 

The horizontal-vertical protective frame lets you natively shoot vertical video for social media platforms.

Tempered glass ensures durability, and the AF coating keeps touch controls responsive, even when wet. With Always On Display enabled, both screens show recording duration and specifications for lower power consumption. Get essential information at a glance without being disturbed by bright lights at night.
Subject Tracking
DJI brings subject tracking to an action camera. Action 6 now intelligently detects the subject's position and dynamically adjusts the composition.

 

Keep the subject centered in every frame during horizontal or vertical shots.

In addition to the microSD card slot that supports up to 1TB cards, the camera features built-in 50GB storage for even more video. It features further optimized bitrate for even smaller file sizes.

 

You can also quickly transfer files via Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.1, with wireless transfer speeds up to 80 MB/s.

A built-in water pressure gauge displays water depth and altitude, and it automatically starts/stops recording when entering/exiting water. It activates underwater at a depth of 3.3' and is only effective when the camera is submerged without a waterproof case.

Timecode Sync
Built-in timecode in the Osmo Action 6 allows you to easily synchronize footage in multicamera shooting scenarios.
Mimo App
Once your smartphone is wirelessly connected to Osmo Action 6, the Mimo app allows you to preview the camera view and adjust the settings. It comes with a variety of editing templates and the One-Tap Edit feature, all without needing to download the footage during editing to save your phone's storage space. The Mimo app also includes diverse editing features for action cameras, such as Sports Dashboard, Vivid Underwater, and InvisiStick.
